This Week's Questions

📖 TUESDAY'S ANSWER: A. YESHUA

“The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”
— Mark 2:27

Yeshua said this after the Pharisees questioned why his disciples were plucking ears of corn as they passed through the fields on the Sabbath.

He reminded them of what David had done when he and those with him were hungry, then turned their understanding of the Sabbath back toward its purpose: the Sabbath was made for man—not man for the Sabbath.

And Yeshua followed it with: “Therefore the Son of man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”— Mark 2:28
